Gerd
Lovold started life in the north of Norway in 1941. Prior to settling in the UK
in 1972, Gerd lived, studied and worked in the USA and Australia.
The
expression of life and movement through ceramics commenced in 1986 and since
then has developed into an inspiring and contemplative range of works in
ceramics, cold-cast bronze and bronze.
Ongoing
themed exhibitions have attracted the attention of organisations such as Bonhams,
The Contemporary Art Gallery and The Sculpture Agency. Bronze sculptures are
currently exhibited at The Alwin Sculpture Gallery and a collection of Gerd’s
ceramics are shown at The Kings Gallery in London, Castle Arts Gallery in
Canterbury and The Harbour Gallery in Whitstable.
Sculptures are also to be found in private collections in Sweden, Holland, Norway, Germany, Australia, throughout the UK and most recently in the USA.
