I was brought up on a large dairy farm, and have lived in the country all my life. I am “at home” in the countryside and therefore my art reflects this rural ethos.   The  cow “portraits” came about because I helped on the family farm with the milking;   their individuality was something that I grew to love about them”.

Sue was born near Corbridge, Northumberland and grew up on a dairy farm.  Her family have been farming for generations, originating from Hunday Farm, near Workington, Cumbria.  Sue owns and runs fifiefofum, a rural art gallery and centre for creative workshops, on the family farm   in Northumberland.   Her work has been shown in many venues throughout the North East, which have created a demand for her unique cow portraits. Sue’s work has covered installation and video, but it is paint that draws her most
